History: Talbot Associates, Inc. was founded by Duncan Talbot, Sr. in 1944. In 1946, his son, Duncan Talbot, Jr., joined the company. Soon after, he brought his World War II friend, Donald Blair, into the company.
In the beginning, Talbot Associates' main focus was on powder metal bearings; selling throughout the New York metropolitan area. We quickly realized that, in order to survive, we needed to expand our principal base to offer our customers more solutions to their problems. We worked with our customers and determined that there was a need for sophisticated, highly-engineered components for the growing markets of aerospace and defense.
Over the following years, we expanded our relationships with foundries who met this market requirement. Starting slowly, we acquired principals who poured the majority of alloys using most of the casting processes. In 1990, Duncan Talbot, Jr. retired, and the ownership and management of the company was turned over to Duncan Talbot III and Jeffrey Talbot.
Since 1944, Talbot Associates, Inc. has been a manufacturers' representative, we have developed many long-term relationships with our customers and principals. We are proud to say that we have been representing several of our principals for over 30 years.
